Registration and visa support (for foreign participants)

Almost all the foreign participants need visa to enter Russia, and invitation is usually needed to apply for the Russian visa.

 

A tourist invitation

Making a tourist visa is the easiest, fast and cheap way to organise your travel to Russia . Almost all the hotels in St. Petersburg offer a service of visa support. Some hotels provide a visa support service for their guests (those, who choose the hotel as a place of stay) for free. Usually the procedure takes 1 - 2 days. To process the invitations hotels usually request following information:

1. Full name, surname (legibly)

2. Citizenship

3. Number of passport

4. Date of birth

5. City of visit

6. Date of arrival and departure

7. Male\ female

To know the details concerning the invitations and registration during your stay in Russia (in some cases it is needed), please, contact the hotels directly.

An academic invitation from CISR

Centre for Independent Social Research, as a non-commercial academic institution, has a right to make invitation for the colleagues from Schengen area. If you need the invitation from CISR, please, contact Nastia Meylakhs or Elena Bogdanova russianfield.info@gmail.com. To prepare the academic invitation we need the information:

Date of entrance to Russia

Date of departure from Russia

How many times you would like to visit Russia (single or multiple visa)

Your full name

Date of birth

Gender (F/M)

Citizenship

Place and state of birth

Place and state of residence

Place and state of visa documents submission

Passport Number

Date of passport issue

Date of Passport expiry

Postal address for sending the original invitation

 

Official invitation from Administration of Federal Migration Service

There is one more way of making invitation - through the Administration of Federal Migration Service. This strategy is most time consuming (about one month for invitation processing, and certain time for postage) and costly. If you prefer this way of making of the invitation, or this way is the only one, accessible for you, please contact the organizers of the conference in the nearest weeks.

Hotels

Our conference will take place at the end of May. Then St. Petersburg looks amazingly, and many tourists seek to visit the city. Therefore we recommend you to reserve the places in the hotels as soon as possible. You may use the famous resource www.booking.com to book the room. Additionally we suggest you a list of hotels, mini-hotels and hostels, which are known as inexpensive and well-disposed.

Sending your message, specify, please, your name and surname, dates of arrival and departure, title of a hotel and type of a room to be reserved.

Mark, please, your message with the subject title “CISR_CONFERENCE”. Some hotels offer a discount to the participants of our conference.

Accommodation free of charge

If you do not have funds to cover your expenses for a hotel room, or for any other place to stay for the days of the conference, send, please, a message to the address russianfield.info@gmail.com with a title “ACCOMMODATION_FREE_OF_CHARGE”. We will try to find a place for you as for a guest among our colleagues and friends. Our possibilities of searching the free accommodation are restricted.
